Let's Talk About A - Level Results
This years A-Level results are a stark reminder of the growing class divide in the United Kingdom, and this classist divide has jeapordised the futures of tens of thousands of young people across the country because of one algorithm.
It’s not right. It’s not right that it was made crystal clear this week that it does not matter how hard you work, how much time you give to improve - if you’re not privileged from the start, you’re on the back foot and the country does not value you in the same way as those who are.
It’s time for working class people to come together, across any other perceived differences, and stand up for the futures of these young people, punished for not being from the “right” postcode.
Update: Thanks to so many of us speaking out, the government have responded to anger about this, see their response here.
